inLOGIC works with no difference when it comes to spreadsheet integration. Users can import and export large volumes of data using ordinary spreadsheets in .XLS or .CSV format.

Download Template

When importing a large volume of data, it is crucial to make sure the data source is correct and succinct with the system you have configured. In order to avoid any unnecessary errors and exceptions, we highly recommend users use templates.

What is a Template?

Templates are prepared after the fact that you have configured Payee, Transaction, and Reference tables according to your business requirements and plans. Currently, inLOGIC creates a template in .XLS format. The biggest benefit of using template is that you can rest assured that the template will contain all the data fields you have created at configuration stage.

In order to download a template:

  • Go to one of the modules (Payee, Transaction, or Reference)
  • Click Import button
  • Click Download Excel Template button

Note: The column headings in the template shall not be modified. If the column headings don’t match with the field labels you have defined in the system, you will receive an error message when attempting to upload.

Import Data

Now that you have the template handy, you can fill the spreadsheet with values that are going to be entered in to inLOGIC. When all the values are populated, you can start uploading.

In order to start Import, you can use one of the two access points: at the top system menu bar and inside each module.

Either way, it will take you to the Imports page. On the Imports page,

  • Click New Import button
  • When File Upload window prompts, select the file to import
  • With the file chosen, click Upload File button
  • Click Import button to execute Data Validation

When the Status indicates Import is completed or displays any other feedback, click the row and review the detail at the bottom of window in Data table.
